Our History

Based in the Philadelphia suburb of Wayne, Pennsylvania, Conestoga Capital Advisors, LLC is an independent registered investment advisory firm that specializes in small and mid cap portfolio management. Our co-founders launched the firm in July 2001 by the purchase of assets from their prior organization (Martindale Andres & Co., a unit of M&T Bank), in a manner allowing for the porting of the GIPS Compliant track record from the inception date of December 31, 1998.

As of December 31, 2016, Conestoga presently manages approximately $1,813 Million in client assets. The firm has grown steadily since its inception and has remained 100% employee-owned. This is a defining feature of Conestoga, one that promotes our strategic initiatives and strengthens the culture of our firm. To ensure the diversity of ideas and development of new opportunities, our advisory roles overlap with one another. We believe this team-based approach to investing ensures a more comprehensive perspective that ultimately promotes our clients’ total financial well-being.
